For the love club

I present to thee, another long overdue post (what is it with me and delaying blog posts?). Pictured above is the outfit I had worn to The Piano Guys' press conference in Manila, on the 5th of September, 2013. I could come up with a lot of excuses as to why it's taken me this long to post this, but I'll just come right out and tell you the truth: my sleeping pattern is so messed up that my dinners happen during breakfast time, and I haven't done anything but read books, watch movies from the 90s to the early 2000s, and write... stuff. Stuff that aren't blog posts, to be more specific.
It took a lot of courage for me to wear a bustier top in public, and even then, I felt extremely uncomfortable. It's not something that I find myself to be wearing frequently for a lot of reasons, one of them being the fact that I'm not exactly the type of person who is comfortable with showing too much skin. It's not that I'm insecure about my body or anything. It just doesn't feel right for me. But the photographic evidence above and below are proof that I had successfully gotten out of my comfort zone. I don't see myself wearing bustier tops again any time soon (baggy t-shirts, anyone?), but maybe when I'm a little older and out of my gawky teenage phase. Just maybe. That's Luigi, whom you may have seen on my blog countless times before. I have a habit of inviting him to the events I go to, and we always seem to end up taking photos of each other. The photo below is us going through the pictures we've taken on my phone so far, while being photographed by my mother dear. Okay now, there are two things I'd like to point out in my outfit, none of which are the bustier top. The first one being the kimono I'm wearing, which Hideki and I made ourselves. He was helping me finish my project in SoFA and I had extra yards of fabric laying around, and ta-da! We decided to make a kimono after browsing through Lookbook and Brandy Melville and noticed that it was a growing trend. Although we're not the kind of people who were quick to join the bandwagon, it looked pretty easy so we gave it a try. I digress, but if you guys are wondering where these photos were taken, we took them at SM Aura's SkyPark at around nine PM. I'm in love with how the photo above turned out, and even if it's not my best shot, I love the effect the buildings behind Luigi give. I've always wanted to take rooftop-esque photos... Going back, the second thing about my outfit that I'd like to talk to you guys about is my newest pair of Dr. Martens! It's the Agyness Deyn Interlace Sandals and were given to me a week before its release in the Philippines, but I'm pretty sure it should be available in stores now. They have different colors (silver, pink, and orange, if I'm not mistaken?), but I was given a white pair. Like every other pair of Dr. Martens (with the exception of my pink low-cut ones), they get comfortable after you break them in. The shoes were a little tight at first (I got a size 6, because their size 7 was a bit too big for me), and I was afraid I'd get blisters from all the walking I did with it, but thankfully, my feet remained blister-free. And the shoes pictured above are Luigi's very own and first pair of Dr. Martens shoes. I apologize if I haven't had anything insightful or inspiring to say. My creativity has been drained with all the writing I've been doing, and I really don't have much to say about my outfit. I was never good when it came to talking about what I'm wearing and that kind of stuff, so again, sorry. Til next time!
