Here's a little bit more background on Blo for you curious critters: Blo opened their very first bar way back in the 6th of June, 2007. They have about 36 locations worldwide: California (Beverly Hills + Carlsbad + San Francisco + W Hollywood + Porter Ranch + Tarzana); Connecticut (West Hartford); Florida (Miami - Brickell + Midtown); Louisiana (New Orleans); Massachusetts (Boston); New York (Manhattan - East 64th + East 72nd) + (Long Island); North Carolina (Charlotte); Texas (Austin - Fifth Street + Domain) + (Houston - The Woodlands); Alberta (Calgary); British Columbia (Yaletown + South Granville + Vancouver + Morgan Crossing); Ontario (Toronto: Yonge Street + Oakville + Bloor West Village + King Street West+ Vaughan + The Path + Bayview Village + Yorkville + Shangri-La Toronto); Manila (Rockwell + Serendra + Megamall); Russia (Moscow);
and are opening more branches in the following soon:
Massachusetts (Blo Seaport, Boston); DC (Blo Market Square, Washington); Louisiana (Shreveport); Maryland (Gaithersburg); Florida (Miami); UK (London). They're open as early as 7am and as late as 9pm (by appointment). Walk-ins accepted during regular hours, 7 days a week. All Bloers (aka Session Stylists) go through an intensive training program, affectionately known as Blo U(niversity), where they master Blo’s signature styles. The bar also offers more than in-house styling. Their signature Blo On The Go (BOTG service) comes to you on set, at work and at home.
Photographed above is their 'hair menu'. If you would like to see it, click here to download the menu pdf. I chose the 'pillow talk' style, which is described as sensual and innocent at the same time, also otherwise known as beachy waves. Since the bar is pretty much a hair styling hub, I asked the Bloer to braid my hair into a waterfall braid to add to the overall look, and also because I thought worked perfectly with the blow dried style I had chosen. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome! What do you think?
Their signature service, the Blo In-Bar, all costs php500. With Nikita, who I haven't seen in a while! It was so nice to see her again. She's a Radio1 DJ at RX93.1 and also blogs at NikitaConwi.com, so I do suggest you check her blog out. She's amazing and I love love her. <3 data-blogger-escaped-border="0" data-blogger-escaped-img="" data-blogger-escaped-src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JpPaZoRw_uM/UufY6h8uONI/AAAAAAAAFXw/eFUcSm-UK68/s1600/IMG_8617.jpg"> Present at the mini food bar at the opening was The Skinny Juicery, which I got to try for the first time and all I can say is holy shit. If you don't know what TSJ is, I'll let them do the explaining for you:
"At The Skinny Juicery, we dream of a healthy community where cleansing programs are available to everyone: from the busiest power player to the steady Sally out there. So we jot down our goals and created The Skinny Juicery – Cleanse Skinnies featuring six, 12-ounce 100% pure, fresh, nutrient packed pressed juice."
Skinny Juice Cleanse
Each Skinny Cleanse Program is simply labeled in order of when you should consume it: Skinny 1 in the morning and ending your day with Skinny 6 at least two hours before bedtime. We, at TSJ like gulping our Skinnies two hours apart, but it’s really up to you when you want to consume it, no pressure really.
Each Skinny Juice is created to replace solid food and snacks, and while you’re doing your The Skinny Juicery Cleanse, you’ll want to have a CANE-free (Caffeine-Alcohol-Nicotine-Energy Drinks) period for maximum health benefits. If you follow our simple notes, just rest and relax and keep yourself hydrated throughout the day. The Skinny Juicery Cleanse will give your digestive system the break it needs to regenerate while simultaneously feeding your body. But to get even more out of your cleansing experience, we recommend reading “Why Juice Cleanse?” to learn more about how to maximize the juice cleanse benefits of your detox.My mom and I have both agreed to try it out really soon, so if you would like to try it out too, click here for more details. And that's about it! Hopefully, I'll bump into one of you guys the next time I drop by one of the Blo Blow Dry Bar branches! Like them on Facebook, follow them on Twitter and Instagram, and heart them on Pinterest. ♡
