Year-ender

See, I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to write a year-ender post. I wasn't sure what I wanted to say, what I wanted to talk about, if I'd have motivation by then. But 2013 ends only once in a lifetime, so I thought I might as well. I have a family dinner to attend to, so it'll short.

BGC SHOOT (21.12.13)

I spent the entire day yesterday with only the best of people - Renee, Nadine, Darren, Jeline, Gian, Jash, and of course, Jam. I wasn't able to film much of our shenanigans, but here's a video diary anyway (because I miss making them). If you're wondering where we ate cupcakes, the place is called Vanilla Cupcake Bakery. I'm in love with their cheesy baked potato. That is all.

Daily Makeup Routine vlog

Gone are the days I walk out bare-faced (unless I'm feeling extra lazy). After watching countless makeup tutorials on Youtube with my best friend, we both decided to give it a shot. While I do believe that natural beauty is better than - what do you even call it? - unnatural/retouched(?) beauty, there is nothing wrong with enhancing the way you look. I'm not a big fan of layers and layers of cakey makeup myself seeing as my skin is easily irritated, but if you are, then that's totally fine. It's your face, so do whatever you want with it for as long as it makes you happy. You have the right to that. The video above just shows you guys how we put on our makeup because people have been asking about it on ask.fm, so basically, it just walks you through what Jam and I do to get ready. But to tell you the truth, it's not exactly a daily routine as we only ever put makeup on whenever we go out and we really just stay at home most days. :P

The price/song list are in the description box below the video for those who are wondering. I 'inherited' most of the things we used in the video from my mom. Let us know what you think! We're not legit vloggers or beauty gurus and the video was just for fun, so don't take us too seriously because we don't take ourselves easily. 'Til next time!

P.S.: HOW COOL IS IT THAT THE VLOG IS 11:11 MINUTES LONG

You suck

Life has been nothing short of amazing lately. I've spent most of my days sleeping (haha), seeing as I've somehow managed to mess up my sleeping schedule again, but I can't find it in me to complain. I work best when I lack sleep, and - how does that saying go? 'I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.'

MKTO LIVE IN MANILA

It's a warm mid-summer day in sunny Southern California, and Malcolm Kelley, 20, and Tony Oller, 21, are indulging in lunch and banter outside of the Los Angeles studio where they record. Soon, they're playing tag with their manager's 3-year-old son, ping ponging to all corners of the studio. Initially, this time slot was allotted for an interview.

The duo aren't dodging their scheduled sit down—now on hold for the last half hour—so much as they're just being themselves, reveling in their current circumstances. With their actions and music, Kelley and Oller enjoy themselves, and do it on their own terms.

Recently signed to Columbia Records, the twosome offer a vibrant mix of pop, hip-hop and R&B, crafted in an undeniably organic way, which makes the music sound as fun to the listener as it was for the two to make--but there's an edge to it, too. It’s something that will be evident on their upcoming debut album, Role Models, as well as their lead single, “Thank You.”
“We're really happy with it,” says Houston-bred Oller of the single. “We’re still working on the rest of the album, but as of right now, I think we have most of what we want to get across. We have ballads, really soft, ‘Someone Like You’ stuff. We have up tempo party songs. We're trying to do a lot of sounds.” And it’s not just the sounds, but also the content: The two discuss the ups and downs that go with adolescence and growing up, navigating a territory that anyone coming of age can find relatable.
“I think there's a lane for everything in music,” Oller continues. “If people like it, great, but if people don't, we made a record we're proud of.”
In addition to their sound, it’s this sort of comfort in their own skin that defines MKTO, and informs not just the content of their music, but also the origins of their name. “It's simple,” Oller says of the moniker, which not only represents their combined initials (Malcolm Kelley, Tony Oller), but something more. “It also stands for what our album kind of is: Misfit Kids and Total Outcasts—just like the kids we were in high school.”
“Whether we like it or not, some kids are still gonna look up to us, and if I can give them a good direction to go in, or be a positive factor, then I'll be that,” Kelley says proudly.
Both accomplished adolescent actors (Oller’s credits include starring in the Disney Series As The Bell Rings as well as the movie Beneath The Darkness, while Kelley had major roles on ABC’s hit Lost as well as in the film Antwone Fisher), the two first met while filming Gigantic, in 2010, in which they played best friends. It was there that they first bonded and realized their shared love of music.
“While acting, you got a lot of down time, so we would just crack open the computer and start making some music,” Kelley recalls. He had been rapping with his friends since he was in his early teens, but had finally found a companion to help pursue the passion seriously.
“We used Garage Band a lot on our Macs,” remembers Oller, who has played piano and sung since his adolescent years, and even appeared on Showtime at the Apollo and Star Search. “We didn't know at all how to record. We loved music for the simple pleasure of loving music. Not trying to do anything, just enjoy creating it.”
Before long, the savvy upstarts uploaded a handful of videos to YouTube, displaying the unique flavor they offered by rerecording other artists’ hits and giving them a fresh spin. With songs like “Made In America,” “Just The Way You Are,” and “Champion,” they’d post videos of themselves recording the cuts, with Oller’s vocals easily distinguishable from the original and Kelley’s rapped verses adding an otherwise unexpected but fitting twist.
In early 2012, MKTO signed to a new partnership between longtime musical collaborators Emanuel “Eman” Kiriakou and Evan “Kidd” Bogart. The two, who stumbled upon the guys’ video for “Champion” online, have been responsible for hits from Beyonce, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Hot Chelle Rae, Sean Kingston, Jason Derulo and many more. MKTO felt that this formidable creative partnership was the perfect hit song breeding ground for their diverse song style.
Shortly after they initially linked up, the foursome headed to New York and took meetings with every major label, as MKTO wowed execs with their total package. In March, they signed with Columbia Records. “They showed us longevity in their artists,” Kelley compliments.
“When we worked on Gigantic, we always talked about what it would be like to do a show,” Oller reflects. “We had songs that we did and we'd sit in our trailers and have the mirror up and be like, ‘Dude, what if we f****in' walked out on stage and everyone started screaming?’ Everything we hoped for—three years laters, here we are. It's really just a dream come true for us.”

Watch MKTO Live on December 14, 2013 (Saturday) at Eastwood Mall Open Park, 4pm and Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill, 7pm.
This event is presented by Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, Eastwood Mall, Venice Piazza, in cooperation with Ivory Music & Video and Sony Music.

End of the year pep talk

Just a quick vlog because this has been on my mind for a while now. Enjoy x

To whom it may concern

Hello! It's been a while. Sorta. It feels like it.

Life hasn't changed much since my last blog post. If you follow me on Twitter, you'd know that my daily routine still consists of writing late at night, eating fast food almost every single day (I can kind of feel my health deteriorating), and crying over (boy) bands. Nothing has happened over the past few weeks that I found 'blog-worthy' enough, so I thought I'd just pop by and leave you guys with a playlist. 'Til the next time.

Jash Manuel

Earlier on this week, I got to meet my most favorite photographer in the world - Jash Manuel. And of course, my long lost sister, Ellie and I absolutely refused to let him leave until he shot us (after countless times of calling his attention and pulling the most random poses). I actually have video evidence of Ellie and I running around, screaming in excitement when Jash finally agreed. We shot in my bedroom ("OH MY GOD, MY BEDROOM WILL BE FEATURED IN JASH MANUEL'S PHOTOS!!!!!!") in less than an hour and we pretty much just kept fooling around, making jokes and going, "WHAT DO I DO WITH MYSELF? HOW DO I POSE? WHAT DO I DO WITH MY HANDS? HELP!"

Regardless of how lost and confused we felt (or just me, rather; Ellie smashed it), Jash ~*magic hands*~ Manuel still managed to capture the coolest photos ever. They have quite a Nylon editorial feel to it, don't they? :) More photos are under the cut! Let us know what you think and don't forget to like his page (click his name up there in the first paragraph) if you want to see more of his stuff!

My desk

My desk is a work in progress as of the moment, and I promise to film a room tour video once I've finally settled in and decorated everything to my liking, but for now, here's a little preview of some of the things I have on my desk. The sign was purchased from a quaint shop in Mt. Olinda a few weeks back. The camera lamp and the candle are both from Heima, and the chalkboard is from Typo! I've also stuck a couple of business and calling cards that I've collected - some from Australia and some from the Philippines, and I intend to fill up the white space with more. Things are coming along nicely and I can't wait to show you guys my sanctuary/habitat/hole/hiding place. :)

Sartorially Challenged x Hodge Podge giveaway!

Hi guys! It's been a while since I last had a giveaway, hasn't it? This is why I'm very excited to announce that Hodge Podge and I have teamed up together for one! Hopefully this will make up for my lack of recent blog posts, so I'm really thankful that the beautiful people behind Hodge Podge are helping me give back to my readers for their never-ending support! :)

Australia, October 2013 OOTDs ft. the Dr Martens Evan boots

Just before I left for Australia, I stopped by the Dr. Martens store in 2 Parkade, Bonifacio Global City to pick up my newest pair of shoes. I got them a few days in advance due to the fact that I was leaving on the first of October for Melbourne, Australia, and I wanted to take whatever pair they were giving with me.

Stopping by the Dr. Martens store once a month is always exciting for me. I'm never told what pair I will be receiving, so it's a bit of a monthly surprise, really. I was ecstatic when I was informed that for the month of October, I will be given the floral Kensington Evan 7 hole boots that I've been eyeing since they first posted about it a day before my birthday. I literally had to pretend to be calm while at the store because there were other customers around and I didn't want to scare them off with my loud squealing. It's rare for me to actually spazz over shoes, so call me materialistic, but I think I can speak for most girls when I say that we definitely love ourselves some pretty shoes.

I wrote you into my verse

Hello! I'm currently in Melbourne, Australia for those of you who don't know. My being out of the country is not a proper excuse for my lack of posts (in fact, it should've given me all the more reason to blog), but that's all I can offer. I have, however, made a new playlist with a couple of songs I've been listening to non-stop since I got here. It features a wide array of artists stretching from one genre to another (an example being Miley Cyrus and Passenger) so it doesn't really have a 'theme,' but I hope you enjoy it anyway! If you want to follow me on my adventures in Australia, feel free to follow me on Instagram.

Download the playlist here.

Twenty Dollars

"A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked. “Who would like this $20 bill?”

Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you - but first, let me do this.”

He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up. He then asked, “Who still wants it?”

Still, the hands were up in the air.

“Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?”

Still, the hands went into the air.

“My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes, not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE.

You are special - don’t ever forget it.”

For the love club

I present to thee, another long overdue post (what is it with me and delaying blog posts?). Pictured above is the outfit I had worn to The Piano Guys' press conference in Manila, on the 5th of September, 2013. I could come up with a lot of excuses as to why it's taken me this long to post this, but I'll just come right out and tell you the truth: my sleeping pattern is so messed up that my dinners happen during breakfast time, and I haven't done anything but read books, watch movies from the 90s to the early 2000s, and write... stuff. Stuff that aren't blog posts, to be more specific.

Little Missy Misery set foot in the ocean, but never the sea

Check out the music video to one of my favorite songs by my favorite band ever! I first heard Lemons when I met Woodlock in Sydney, and it's really cool that we've become friends. The last time I saw them (Melbourne, April 2013), they spoke to me about this music video so it's exciting that it's finally here! It's such a cute video, and the set is amazing. It was definitely worth the wait. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

The Piano Guys Press Conference

Last September 5, 2013, I was invited to The Piano Guys' press conference in SM Aura by the lovely people from Ivory Music & Video. I was able to speak to the group personally, shake their hands, have them sign my copies of their albums, and receive very inspiring advice from the group's members. I was unfortunately unable to make it to their concert, but they performed a couple of songs at the press conference, one of which was their version of What Makes You Beautiful - my all time favourite cover of theirs. Read more about the press conference under the cut. :)

August 31 Playlist

Just a couple of songs I've recently bought off iTunes and have been obsessing over. I'm pretty OC when it comes to the quality of the music I listen to, so that explains my iTunes splurge. 6 of my favourites out of the 34 songs I purchased are now yours, free of charge. I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do! Expect more playlists soon. <3 data-blogger-escaped-br="">

Closet Sale v.2

It's no secret that I have one too many clothes. Since I was a little tyke, I've been obsessed with fashion (tutus, feathery plastic heels, and tube tops to pre-school anyone?), so it's no surprise that I've somehow evolved into a bit of a hoarder. To make more room in my makeshift closet, I started a closet sale. It had been requested quite frequently by my readers (that's you guys!) so I chose a couple of my previously favourite pieces in my closet and uploaded them on Indiestructible's Facebook page. It went off without a hitch.

Now, four months later, I will be releasing part two of the closet sale! Most of the pieces are dresses that I found hard to let go of but had to, so whoever gets to keep them is really lucky. Oh and most clothes, if not all, are branded. I noticed that this collection is 95% made up of clothes from Forever 21, but from past collections so you won't find them anywhere else anymore. I'm not going to reveal the price range yet, but I doubt anything will be too expensive. I'm sure nothing will cost over a thousand pesos, so there's that.

The closet sale will most likely be up tomorrow (August 29, 2013) at 7PM on Indiestructible. Have a good week ahead, guys! ♡

Pursuit of Happiness

My complete lack of inspiration and motivation as of late has led me to sorta-kinda "abandoning" my blog. Not in the mood to spend time filling everyone's heads with my pseudo-inspirational bullshit (here on out regarded to as P.I.B., because it's a mouthful), I decided to keep mum until I actually had something to say. I'm sure my run-on sentences aren't something anyone would be missing.

16 August 2013

Claire Cottrill

Thought I'd share with you guys a certain Youtube artist to make up for my lack of recent posts! Claire Cottrill has a really relaxing voice that somehow reminds me of Colbie Caillat's. The video above has got to be my favorite cover of hers. She covers a lot of songs in the indie/folk genre, such as Bon Iver and Mumford & Sons. You can listen to her original song, 'Hurricane' by clicking here. Happy listening! ♡

New in

Here's a quick mini-haul-ish kind of post that includes things I've been obsessing over lately.

06 August 2013

Take a chance

It's been a while since I last posted an outfit post. I haven't been much of a 'fashion' blogger lately, because really though... What more is there to an outfit post than someone pretty much just going, 'hey look what I wore today!' This post will probably end up following the exact format aforementioned, but I hope you guys enjoy this post anyway.

Best Job in The World

A few weeks back, I had come across a Facebook post by Dr. Martens Philippines in which it was stated that they were looking for two product testers. If chosen, these two lucky souls get a free pair each month for the next six months. All you had to do to get a chance to win was to share the post and tell them what you and your Dr. Martens stood for in the comments section.

Catch Luigi D'Avola at SM Mall of Asia on August 3, 2013 (Saturday) at 4PM

I'm really really excited for a good friend of mine as he's launching his music video for his second single at this event! It's actually my most favorite song out of all his songs, and we've been raving about this music video for the longest time. I actually can't wait to see it! Tweet me if you will be attending! See you guys

The XX Live in Manila

Yesterday (July 30, 2013), I attended The XX's first ever concert in Manila with my friends. I'm still not a hundred percent over it, so do forgive me if I'm unable to give a detailed recount of my experience. It was insanely amazing, and I have so many people to thank (I'll get to that in a bit). I'll probably end up freaking out in excitement as I go on, but I'll try my best to word my thoughts as properly as possible for you guys!

I'm still alive + PLAYLIST

July has been quite a whirlwind month for me. Following what could possibly have been the best June in my life, this month (which is about to end, thankfully) has proven to be quite the rollercoaster ride.

18 July 2013

BumbleBeeble

I recently discovered BumbleBeeble's videos when it came up on my YouTube homepage, listed under 'What To Watch.' The beautiful video thumbnail piqued my interest, and so, being the curious cat that I am - I gave it a chance. The video above is the one I am talking about. It was a minute and five seconds of my life well spent! It's incredible how quickly it inspired me, despite the short length of its entirety. I do highly suggest everyone to check out her stuff. Another one of my favorite videos of hers is this one, and it may or may not have gotten me into collages again. Happy viewing! ♡

13 July 2013

This is how you lose her

"This is how you lose her.

You lose her when you forget to remember the little things that mean the world to her: the sincerity in a stranger’s voice during a trip to the grocery, the delight of finding something lost or forgotten like a sticker from when she was five, the selflessness of a child giving a part of his meal to another, the scent of new books in the store, the surprise short but honest notes she tucks in her journal and others you could only see if you look closely.

11 July 2013

Paradise (in which I ramble about clothes for the first time)

Mid-riff tops are a pretty popular trend as of late, and while I'm not one to jump on bandwagons, I instantly fell in love with the one I'm wearing above. It's one of the three things I received from Apparal, and is also my favorite. The fabric is so soft and stretchy, and the detailing in the back is the prettiest. I can almost hear my mom going, "you're wearing that top again?!" because I'd probably wear it out so much.

09 July 2013

The First Time

Being the sucker for coming-of-age films/(non-cliché) teenage rom-coms that I am, The First Time became an instant favorite of mine. I had previously read about it on IMDb earlier this year, but forgot about it not long after. Thankfully, Julia sent me the link to her blog post about her own summer film festival just this week, where The First Time was one of the many movies to be included in her list. I remembered the brief moment of excitement that I felt when I first heard about the film ("OMG I HAVE TO WATCH THIS"), and so I watched it. Twice. The second time, with my mom.

I'm not going to spoil anything for you guys, but if you plan on watching this with your parents, I'm warning you ahead of time that there are some pretty saucy scenes (nothing too Rated R though) that could possibly make things awkward. But other than that, it's a brilliant film. Britt Robertson's character was a bit of a Manic Pixie Dream Girl, but... Dylan O'Brien, guys. There were some cliché moments, but the director managed to make it work, so all in all, it's a pretty damn entertaining film. The cinematography was really pretty too.

Watch the full movie here.

Indiestructible Graphic Tees Lookbook

This has been a well overdue shoot. It was always delayed due to my unable to wake up early to shoot, clashing schedules with my supposed model, and the fact that I was preoccupied with other... things (or people, rather). My impulsive self decided last minute to shoot with my best friend, Chesca, instead, just so that I could get it over with. I was also itching to put the clothes up online on Indiestructible already.

12 June 2013

Untitled

I feel like I haven't written anything in ages. The words and ideas have stopped flowing through my head like they always do. I find myself to be at a loss for words more often than not, and I have no motivation whatsoever to dress up and take photos. In other words, I'm stumped. Uninspired. Lazy. Yadda yadda yadda.

Pain supposedly drives the artist, but I haven't felt much lately. There isn't much to talk about lately. My life has been hectic, but I've yet to experience anything that I'd be excited about sharing with you guys. Everything that's happening to me these days, I'd like to stay private and personal. For now, at least.

So if you have anything you want me to write about, may it be a certain experience, a shop, a DIY tutorial (no, I will not teach you how to make flower crowns), just drop me a line by commenting below. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Supremacy

Two layers. Two frickin' THIN layers. And I still managed to sweat like a pig under the scorching sun. I get it, Philippine weather, you're the hottest among the hot. In your own native tongue, ikaw na. As in, ikaw na talaga. Thanks for not permitting me to dress up in layers like I've always enjoyed doing... You lil rascal.

SoFa

Being homeschooled means I have a lot of free time on my hands, but more specifically - time that could be better off spent doing things. It doesn't matter what I do, for as long as I'm being productive, and so I enrolled in a short course - fashion entrepreneurship, to be exact - at SoFA (School of Fashion and The Arts) Design Institute. My classes start on Monday, but here are the photos I took during the student orientation, where I coincidentally met one of my Instagram friends.

Anvaya (May 14-16, 2013)

I don't know why I've been putting this post off for a while now *cough* laziness *cough*,but I've finally got around to post-processing the pictures. There were a lot, so I'm only sharing with you guys my top favorite photos. Enjoy! :)

Amo Yamie Crib

Amo Yamie Crib is this cute two-storey café/movie house that most people probably wouldn't notice unless they were really looking for it. I know this because we couldn't spot it the first time around. It is filled with post-its from customers, tasteful décor in different colours, and lots of other personal touches from the customers themselves. It gives the whole place a cozy/homey vibe that I instantly fell in love with upon walking inside.

30 May 2013

Tully

Upon purchasing the top from Uniqlo, I realized that it was similar to the top Natalie Foster wears in one of her her band's music videos, thus giving me the idea to name this post after them (Tully on Tully). I was supposed to wear this outfit to Uniqlo's SM Pampanga opening, but I didn't know it was 9AM and woke up a little too late, so instead, I wore it out to a day well spent with Ozni, Chesca, and Luigi.

Wanderland Music Fest 2013

Super long overdue post on Wanderland Music Fest 2013!!!!!! This was, by far, the best day of my entire summer so far. I met so many new people who are the most incredible and funniest ever, danced to amazing music, got to meet Colour Coding, have Natalie Foster of Tully on Tully wear my flower crown, and finally got to experience something similar to Coachella. It was such an amazing experience. THE best 12 hours of my life.

26 May 2013

Oh, life

Here's a long overdue outfit post. I haven't had the time to shoot lately, nor the effort to dress up. I've (re)developed a new(?) love for folded/ripped jeans, and here's my take on styling them. These clothes are actually my best friend's, as I have a habit of raiding her closet. The photos were shot by her too. :) Also, I bleached the ends of my hair, which I slightly regret, but am liking because... y'know, it's different. I like change. The temporary tattoos (which I scrubbed off while swimming) were from My Ticker Tape Parade at the Wanderland Music Fest. Have a good week, everyone!

Uniqlo at SM Pampanga Press Conference + VIP Shopping

I was recently invited to Uniqlo's press conference for their newest branch outside of Metro Manila, and their VIP/pre-shopping event by the marketing group of SM Pampanga. I, along with some other bloggers from PFB, were there to represent the social media and the rest of the Pampanga-based bloggers. We were lucky enough to have met Uniqlo's Chief Operating Officer, Katsumi Kubota (pictured below), too (we actually have a photo together, but for some reason, I don't feel like posting it. Hahaha). It was quite an experience. I've never done anything like it before, or gone to such events. Quite frankly, it made me feel like a legitimate blogger.

Uniqlo opens 4th store at SM City Pampanga

I recently tweeted about receiving an e-mail from the PR Agency of Uniqlo Philippines two days ago. I didn't reveal too much, because I wasn't exactly sure if I was allowed to. But since it's the day before the opening press conference I was invited to, I figured it's time to let all my Pampanga-based readers know.

Uniqlo is finally coming to Pampanga on the 24th of May, 2013.

Everything has changed

I have found a brother in one of the strongest, most talented people I know. Luigi D'Avola is such a sweetheart and he's very very caring. He's passionate about his music and his dream, and with all that he's gone through - he deserves the hell out of achieving it and more. I highly suggest everyone to listen to his first single if you haven't already. The melody of his songs have a very 'feel good' vibe to them - like the kind you'd listen to on a long road trip. His next single is coming out this June, and his debut album as well. I'm so excited for him, and I pinky promise/swear to always be there for him on his journey to success.

P.S.: The title is named after Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran's song because we were singing it during Twitcam. :)

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to the strongest, nicest, most beautiful woman I know. Thank you for everything. I may not be the best daughter, or the most obedient, but you're the best mother anyone could ever ask for. Thanks for giving birth to me almost fifteen years ago. That was really cool. Continue to be strong and inspire others, because Kuya and I will always be here for you. Any trials you face, we will be standing right behind you and making sure you're safe and okay. You are my hero and it's rare for a daughter to say this to a mother as it should be the other way around, but you make me proud. I love you so much, mom! "Tita Charm! Thank you so much sa support sa fandom and also for being a great 'tita.' :) We're not that close po pero tita, I really like you, and I know you're a great mom. Thank you so much for everything, and for sharing your daughter. I love you Tita Pungks. Rock & roll. PS: thank you din po tita sa pagpush sa facetime namin ni Keith. Shet, highlight po yung ng buhay ko." - Angel Traballo

"Happy Mother's Day Tita!! Thank you for being an inspiration to all of us and I really admire you for being such a great mother to your children. We love you po!!" - Icha Catuncan

"Hi Tita, Happy Mother's day! I wanted to say thank you because you gave me a friend, and also you're a very nice and caring person. I've met you only a few times and you've been nice to me so in return I'd just like a big thanks because of that. It's Mother's day you deserve to be happy, in any day to be honest. Not just tomorrow! We love you." - Jam Geronimo

"Hello po, tita! Happy, happy, happy, HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY! First of all, I'd want to thank you for being such an incredibly amazing mom not only to Nina, but to all of the officers and, well, basically every single one of us in general. I honestly admire you so much and I couldn't thank you enough for everything you've done for us, not only for 1DPH stuff, but for being our second mom as well. You're so approachable, understanding, loving, and caring in every single way and I think your children are EXTREMELY lucky to have you. I could go on and on with how much I adore you and how much I think you're one exceptional person, but I don't think words can express that enough. Always remember po that whatever happens, I will always be here for you and Nina. I wish you all the best in life and once again, THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH. I really hope you enjoy this day, Tita, because you deserve it. Have a very special day and I love you po!! :)" - Vida Inting

Mart of China

A lot of people ask me about my favorite online shops, so I figured I could write about one of them today!

The photos featured in this post are my top favorite items in Mart of China. If you're interested in buying them, continue reading and I will put the links to the items in a chronological order at the end of the post. :)

Oh For Fox Sake

I finally got around to giving my blog a makeover (or got someone to, rather). However, I'm going to give credit where credit is due. Jeline of Sartorialust (a good friend of mine, and also part of the Next-Gen bloggers group) designed my newest theme and header. Everyone should go check her blog out, because her style is one of my top favorites as it's very casual and something we can all wear. I admittedly hurry to her blog whenever I run out of ideas for outfits sometimes. Plus, her photographs and blog in general is a sight for sore eyes. She might also start designing themes soon so keep an eye out for that, too!

If none of you guys have noticed yet, I also have a new blog title. I am now bidding Sartorially Challenged goodbye, and replacing it with a slightly funnier (in my opinion, at least) one. But if any of you guys try to snap S.C. up, know that I am going to kitty-claw your faces off because it's still my baby. With that being said, enjoy the new look of my blog!

Jam's Playlist #1

Here's a new part of my blog that will hopefully happen more frequently!

Since I love making playlists, and my friend, Jam, has the best taste in music, we decided to collaborate. Here's the first playlist of many more to come! It's inspired by our day out yesterday (May 3, 2013) in Eastwood. It has a really happy go-lucky vibe to it, so this playlist is definitely one to listen to if you're feeling very happy or you want to cheer up!

Don't kill my vibe

I hate to bring this up (as it should be a topic forever forgotten or 'dropped' as my mom would put it), but there is no other way for me to get to what I wanted to talk about without talking about this first. #redundancy

Daylesford, Victoria & Lavandula Farm Photo Diary

This is a particularly long overdue post. I don't know what my reason for putting this post off is, but here it finally is!

Happy 44th birthday, mom!

Happy birthday to the strongest and most beautiful woman I know - my mother.

C'est la vie

I was this close to naming this post/outfit 'Pugs, not Drugs', in relation to my sweater. But since there are more serious things that I'd like to tackle, 'c'est la vie' seemed a lot more appropriate.
