The city that never sleeps

One of the top places on my 'must visit' list is the city that never sleeps - New York City. I may or may not have always seen the place through rose-coloured glasses, what with the countless horror films and chick flicks set in it. The place has it's downsides (I don't think I can handle living in a concrete jungle, having grown up in a province and all), sure, but it does not par up to all the good the city has to offer. The sea of people weaving in and out of buildings, Broadway, and the bright city lights to name a few - everything about New York City just seems so wonderful to me. You never seem to run out of things to do, and that is exactly the kind of place I can see myself frequenting a lot.
I don't think I can fully handle living in it, but if given the opportunity, I would at least try. I get the feeling it would broaden my perspective on things, with millions of cultures and beliefs surrounding me each and every day. I'd find myself a small flat with a good enough view of the city, and maybe try working for a magazine. Who knows? Maybe it'll really happen. Here's a fun fact about this look: the night after shooting this with my best friend, Chesca, and her younger brother, Neil, I find out that another Lookbook-er posted the exact same outfit as the one I'm wearing. I kind of had second thoughts about posting this, seeing as she was a lot more famous than I was and I might be accused of copying, but here's to throwing caution to the wind. I had a wonderful week with my family. We went to Manila, went shopping (thanks mom and dad!), and had dinner with my older brother, his wife, and my mom's friends. Happy Friday everyone - make this weekend count! Do something that'll you'll still remember a year from now. Aaaaand happy 19th birthday to Harry Styles!
